Since 2020, Global hunger surged due to the deadliest pandemic COVID-19. The UN estimated that the food insecurity hit the highest in 15 years globally. One out of every four Americans starved as a result of unavailability of food and resources. Millions of people lost employment and a number of businesses collapsed worldwide. During these testing times, Zain for Hearts stood for its fellow citizens.

On 29th July, 2021, we organised a food drive at Islamic Center of Greater Kansas City which aimed at not only feeding the hungry and starving but also providing food with high nutritional value because healthy food options are vital for physical and mental wellbeing. Our food packages included fruits, milk, vegetables alongside flour and other necessary food items.
